State Parks and Cultural Resources Office to meet February 20-21

Members of the Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources Commission will meet February 20-21 at the Barrett Building, Multi-Purpose Room, 2301 Central Avenue in Cheyenne.

The meeting is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on February 20 preceded by a tour of the State Capitol and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on February 21, followed by a possible tour of the Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility (time and weather permitting.)

During the meeting, the Commission will hear agency and division updates. They will also receive an update on the LX Bar Ranch, recommend approval of Land and Water Conservation Fund grants, recommend approval of Concession administrative fees and recommend approval of 2020 Wyo Parks special event fee modification requests.

The Commission has advisory responsibility for the agency which involves the planning, acquisition, development and management of all state parks, the State Trails Program, State Recreation Areas, State Historic Sites and Archaeology sites and Outdoor Recreation Office.

The Commission also advises the Wyoming State Museum, Wyoming Arts Council, the official State Records Center and Archives, the Office of the State Archaeologist, historical research activities, the State Historic Preservation Office and the Cultural Trust Fund.
