Youth Art Month Proclamation Signing to be Held March 3 at Wyoming State Capitol

2020-WAC-Youth-Art

A proclamation recognizing March 2020 as Youth Art Month will be signed by Gov. Mark Gordon on March 3 at 11 a.m. in the Capitol Extension Conference Center Room W053/W054, the Wyoming Arts Council announced. This event is free and open to the public.

Youth Art Month is proclaimed in celebration of the creativity of our Wyoming students and their participation in the arts – music, dance, theater, visual, and literary arts. Youth Art Month is a national observance each March to emphasize the value of arts education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs.

The national theme for this year’s Youth Art Month is, “Take A Journey through Art.”

This year’s poster was a collaborative effort. The Arts Council asked arts educators across the state to send their best representation of youth art in action and they answered the call brilliantly. “Take A Journey Through Art” is wonderfully, cheerfully represented by our Wyoming students.
