About Barbara:
Born to Wyoming natives who were also career Navy (36 1/2) years I lived all over the United States. A majority of those duty stations were with the Marines as dad was a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman.
Vacations were often spent in Wyoming and we lived in Wyoming for two years when dad was stationed overseas.
I graduated from Washington - Lee High School in Arlington VA and got a BA in Behavioral Science from National University in San Diego, CA. I met and married a Marine Aviator. After getting out of the Marines we moved to Los Angeles. He passed away while on a state department assignment in the middle east.
I moved back to Wyoming in 1994 and spent 10 years in county radio. From there I went to TV and then to the newspaper. Where I'm currently employed as a reporter and sales manager at the Big Horn County Newspapers.
My second husband Mark Reno and I married in 2003. We live outside of Basin on a farm/ranch. Right now we just raise hay.
In addition to this board I am also on many boards and committees including: The Wyoming Lifeline, Big Horn County Library, Bighorn Basin Outdoor Recreation Collaborative, Camp Bethel, South Big Horn County Senior Center, Big Horn County Fire District #2, Big Horn County Art Guild, Town of Basin Activities Committee and in my spare time run the Basin Area Chamber and an animal rescue called "Felines and Friends of Wyoming".
