District 4
About Jill:
Jill Benson serves as the Executive Director of SAGE Community Arts in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she works to build and inspire community through the visual arts. In her role, Jill leads exhibitions, educational programming, artist development, and community partnerships that strengthen Sheridan’s cultural landscape and expand access to the arts for residents and visitors alike.
Known affectionately as a “Jill of all Trades,” she brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work—combining nonprofit leadership, arts advocacy, program development, fundraising, and community engagement to support both artists and audiences. Her work focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for people to see art, create art, and connect through shared cultural experiences.
Originally from Laramie, Wyoming, Jill returned to Wyoming in 2019 with her husband and their dogs after several years away. She feels deeply fortunate to now be raising their daughter in Wyoming and values the opportunity to contribute to the stewardship of the state’s cultural and natural resources.
Jill is honored to serve as the District No. 4 Commissioner on the Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources Commission and looks forward to supporting the preservation and celebration of Wyoming’s rich heritage for future generations.
